Terms & Conditions

  • Do you have a phone number?
We currently don't have a business line and find it more manageable to conduct most of our business over email. However in some cases, it is easier to have phone call and if you have provided a contact number, I can give you a call at a mutually agreed time.
  • Where are you based?
We operate out of our home studio which is in Sutton. Although we are technically in Surrey, Sutton is still a London borough so we are within easy reach of south west London as well!
  • How soon should I place my order?
Wedding cakes: We recommend giving a minimum of 3 months notice for wedding cakes. This is because spaces are limited and wedding cakes often take much longer to design and create than celebration cakes. It is prudent to leave ample time for finalising your design as well as securing your date well in advance. Celebration cakes: We recommend a minimum of 2 weeks notice for celebration cakes. Even earlier would be better if you’re looking for a more extravagant and complex design. Late bookings: If you require a cake at short notice, we may still have late availability so do contact us. Please note that short notice bookings require payment in full.
  • Do you offer consultations or cake tastings?
As we are a home-based business, we do not offer in-house consultations. An online consultation (via Google Meet) and tasting box by post is complimentary for all confirmed wedding cake orders. These are normally scheduled 4 months before the wedding date. If you would like to book a consultation and/ or tasting box prior to booking with us, there is an initial charge. The fee for a consultation is £25 and a cake sample box costs £35; which will then be deducted from the booking fee when placing your order with us. Consultations and sample boxes are available for celebration cake orders over £400, with the prices as above.
  • How do I place an order?
Wedding cakes: After receiving an estimate from us that you are happy with, you can let us know that you would like to confirm your order and we will take a non-refundable booking fee of £150 to secure your date. The remaining balance will be due 1 calendar month prior to the wedding date. For wedding cakes booked within 2 months of the wedding date, payment in full is required. Celebration cakes: After receiving an estimate or quote from us that you are happy with, you can let us know that you would like to confirm your order and we will take a non-refundable booking fee of £50 to secure your date. The remaining balance will be due 1 week prior to the event. For celebration cakes booked within 2 weeks of the event, payment in full is required.
  • Can I make changes to my order?
If you have placed an order and need to make changes to the size or design, it is possible to do so up to 2 weeks before for celebration cakes and 2 months before for wedding cakes. Depending on the changes required, extra charges may be incurred. A new order confirmation will be created following any alterations to the original order. Please see our terms and conditions for further details.
  • Can I collect my cake?
You are welcome to collect your cake, free of charge, from our home studio in Sutton. A 1 hour time slot will be agreed by both parties and your order will be ready for that time. We recommend collecting your cake by car, please do not attempt to carry it home! Ensure you have cleared plenty of space in the boot and have the air con on if it is a warm day.
  • Do you deliver?
We offer local delivery within 5 miles of our location for £12. For anything further, the cost will depend on the postcode and we will happily provide a quote for you if you require. On some occasions, if it is not possible for us to personally deliver your cake, we can arrange a cake courier on your behalf.
  • Can you cater for special dietary requirements?
We can sometimes remove allergens (such as nuts or gluten) from our recipes, if requested; but our products are prepared in an environment where allergens are present, so we are unable to guarantee that they would be 100% free from.
  • How should I store my cake?
Fondant cakes should be stored in a cool, dry place (not the fridge) and out of direct sunlight. Buttercream cakes can be left at room temperature if the weather is cool. If the weather is hot or your event is not until the next day (please let us know in advance if this is the case) the cake is best stored in the fridge until an hour or two before serving (depending on the size of your cake). After cutting, any remaining cake can be stored in an airtight container or well wrapped cling film in the fridge or freezer. We recommend eating the cake within 3 days if stored in the fridge or within 1 month if stored in the freezer. Always let cakes come to room temperature before serving! As we use real butter in all our cakes, refrigerating will harden the cakes and this is sometimes mistaken for dryness if eaten straight from the fridge.
